Tribe Expansion

If you couldn't tell from the end of last chapter, this happened!
I couldn't change Kadee's maternity clothes.
"What's in there?"
A baby, dummy.
I really should've gotten them some of those pregancy books.... we don't want a Blue Lagoon situation here.
TOO LATE.

Her waters broken! Oh, wait, it's just the sink.

A few hours later, and it happens for real! "AAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE"
And where is Apari, you may ask?

He is preparing a meal, starving to death, and celebrating his birthday, all while the missus pushes a baby out. What a multitasker.

...And finally, a baby is born.
Beautiful, Bouncing, Baby Girl - comes with free blanket!
They named her Alys.
She was born with Couch Potato & Genius traits.
After that long journey through the birth canal, Alys went straight to sleep in her crib.

...But not before getting a hug from her Daddy.

Oh, and I built a little hut to put kids in. I need to do a lot of money-making, because it's empty and probably too small......

Tribe Ceremony

What have the Sims been doing since we left them? Skilling.... Apari wants to catch 13 perfect fish.
Also, I get points for mastering athletic! "Feel the burn!"

Sooo..... that's my kitchen ;p *clears throat* moving on.

Oh, and Kadee's been gardening and stuff.
After all those displays of manliness, Kadee decided to propose to Apari.
They'd been dating for a while, and I actually thought they were engaged and this was going to be the marriage ceremony.

And so it was! The Tribal Marriage Ceremony was performed infront of a big-ass sacred rock with a flying pig on it. Appropriate. It was a private enchange of vows, due to there being no other Tribe members to be found in Riverview.

We haven't seen much of Kadee this chapter, but we'll see - perhaps more than we'd like - of her next time! (which will be soon.)
And, oh, yeah...

DOO DEE DOO DOO... DOO DOO!

Generation One - TRIBAL

It starts!
Here are my founders, it took me around 3 hours altogether to make them so yes that poll vote would be mine ;P
I did not use any Custom Content in their creation! I designed all the 'tribal' outfits with the Create-A-Style Tool. I was quite impressed.
Outfits will be found HERE soon.
I didn't use any CC in the creation of the house, either, or the furniture! There are just a couple CC furnishings.

This is Kadee Sim.
I loosely based her appearance on Australian actress Deborah Mailman.
I get worried Sims are a bit bland without make-up, but it's not supposed to exist in their time period, lol.
Kadee is a family-oriented, natural cook, with a green thumb, who loves the outdoors and is technophobic!

And this is Apari Sim.
I looked at a few more Aboriginal actors for his reference.
The tribal theme doesn't really work on male sims... I had to redesign his main outfit at first because he looked like a member of The Village People.
Apari is an hydrophobic angler, who loves the outdoors, and is athletic and artistic.

Here is their hut-like home. What you see takes up only the very left side of their lot.
So there's the main hut - a small one for kids will be added later - with a garden patch, a lake for fishing, and at the back is an outhouse bathroom. I'm quite pleased with it, but I'll only have to demolish most of it for Gen 2.

Interior, which has undergone some changes since I took the photo >>; the walls are now lined with tables for the husbands stupid fishbowls, and I had to add a tribal-disguised Fridge, Oven and Sink out of neccessity. I might put a Kitchen pic up next post (along with some BABIES?)

All furniture, walls, clothes were done out in Create-A-Style using Wood, Wicker & Weaves, Furs & Leathers, with an odd smidge of Fabric. I'm being 'authentic' like.
In the right pic, you can see a hanging chair, framed driftwood, and Easter Island table - I got them here.

Through History Legacy Challenge!

Hi Simmers.

I'm about to start the Through History Legacy Challenge.
Please look at my Challenges! Page for information on that challenge and others.

I've just written all the details in my notebook to have at hand while playing.
And I've got a list of names for each generation.
Baby naming websites are really good resources for video games, writing, and history.
I like to do meaningless research :p
My founding Sims are going to be a female Sim named Kadee and a male Sim named Apari - these are Aboriginal names, to fit the Tribal theme, and they mean Mother and Father.
I'M GONNA MAKE THEM RIGHT NOW.
HERE I GO.
