Time Warp Sims

I would really appreciate some feedback on both my page and my blog.

You may notice that Kadee and Apari aren't used as the Facebook picture - that's because while the blog is their home, Time Warp Sims itself is about so much more.

There is a lot to explore on both websites, as I try to experiment with everything The Sims has to offer! =)

Tribe Changes

Alys was nervous about what other kids would think, as she got on the bus for the first time.
To her surprise, girls ran up and asked "is that Gucci?", until Alys replied "I skinned it myself."
She had a seat to herself for the rest of her childhood.



Meanwhile, Apari mastered the fishing skill.
He still wants 3 perfect fish, though.
He also mastered the athletic skill after many hours sweating it out.
He's made no progress with painting.


Kadee mastered gardening, but is failing her wish of having a perfect garden.
She also mastered the cooking skill, so I changed her lifetime wish to learning all recipes.
A mysterious grant for 16k was received to purchase the books.


Rowan grew up into a mischievous toddler, and developed the... snap, what trait does he have again? Loves The Outdoors, Athletic, and... Doesn't Like Art.


The parents felt like they needed some time together, alone.
They chatted, and smiled, while they cuddled up on the bed.
Apari kissed his wifes hair lovingly...





Where were the children, you may ask?
Playing a perpetual game of peek-a-boo!
Yes, everyone in the Sims Family was feeling a little odd lately.
They had found themselves needing to go to the bathroom, and then forgetting about it immediately.



All too soon (actually, no) it was little Rowan's birthday again!
And yes, to the left you can see a very pregnant Kadee, cheering for her soon to be middle child.
I'd say a neighbour gave her that dress... if she knew any.


Now being old enough, Alys helps out in the garden and learns skills she must possess as both a woman and a matriarch.
Her mothers third pregnancy was proving to be more difficult and tiring, and she spent a good deal of time reading on the hanging chair.


Rowan has his own lessons to learn, as he is now a man in his fathers eyes.
If Apari were living in the present, he would wear glasses.
So, the bo-- man took up fishing, and caught his first minnow, but his father wouldn't let him take up any of his precious fish bowls.



What's this!? Kadee has gone into labour unexpectedly! When she caught her breath, she moved to the main house. "I'm getting too old for this."

And, after some trial... a beautiful little boy was born. They already had a named picked out, regardless of gender.
Isley is friendly and absent-minded. They hope he will grow into a strong young man.

The Sims Series Comparison

As I mentioned last post, I decided to compare The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3.
I tried to make the exact same sims and their house in each game.
I couldn't find any comparison like that online, and it bugged me - no point comparing completely different looking Sims.
I didn't use any CC.The Sims 1 - it's just a jump to the left...

Hey Simmers!
No chapter for this week, sorry.
I'm holding out for Pets, it should be here 1st November.
Buuuuuut I installed my old The Sims game onto my laptop, and it works great!I took lots of screenshots, and I'm going to create and compare the exact same family and house across 1, 2 & 3!
I even played with Sims Creator, and made a Sim from my own photo - those pics will be up later.
SO GO HAVE A LOOK AND BASK IN THE NOSTALGIA

Tribe Lessons

Alys will learn many, many things as she grows into a woman, and becomes the matriarch of the Sims.
She must communicate in the native tongue.
"Repeat after me, Alys... Chemicals are made in a Laboratory by Scientists!"

Her steps must be strong...
She must learn important ancestral secrets and
ceremonies.
But I think everyone agrees the most important thing is to be... potty trained.
"Good dog."



As Alys' mind grew, so did something else.
But this time Kadee was prepared.
It was a surprisingly short delivery, Apari stayed by her side instead of buggering off to make a sandwich.




Their families tips paid off - a son was born! They named him Rowan.
He would be a great support and comfort, around the home, and in Apari and Kadee's old age.

And shortly after.....
Puberty is hard, Alys.

Tribe Growth

If you're new, challenge details, and first chapter :)

Kadee is loving her little family very much. She was a bit lonely, being so far away (centuries!) from her family.
Taking care of Alys, on top of gardening, cooking and fishing... was very hard work.

Apari was good, and helped out in the garden.
Since he only goes out to the fish breeding ponds every so often, the garden is the main source of food and income.








But, I'm afraid the stress got to him...
I don't even know what to say about this.
Reverting to his inner child, perhaps, hmm?








It seemed time flew, and Alys became a toddler!
Her birthday present? A very small zebra...
She looks more like her father now, when you see her up close.






Alys was moved into the smaller hut, and Apari and Kadee shared a bed for the first time in months!
(And as any legacy player knows, if you have an heir, you need a 'spare'... harsh, but true.)







The next morning, Kadee picked some special fruit she conveniantly grew...
It was an old trick passed down from mother to daughter.

Tribe Expansion

If you couldn't tell from the end of last chapter, this happened!
I couldn't change Kadee's maternity clothes.
"What's in there?"
A baby, dummy.
I really should've gotten them some of those pregancy books.... we don't want a Blue Lagoon situation here.
TOO LATE.

Her waters broken! Oh, wait, it's just the sink.

A few hours later, and it happens for real! "AAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE"
And where is Apari, you may ask?

He is preparing a meal, starving to death, and celebrating his birthday, all while the missus pushes a baby out. What a multitasker.

...And finally, a baby is born.
Beautiful, Bouncing, Baby Girl - comes with free blanket!
They named her Alys.
She was born with Couch Potato & Genius traits.
After that long journey through the birth canal, Alys went straight to sleep in her crib.







...But not before getting a hug from her Daddy.








Oh, and I built a little hut to put kids in. I need to do a lot of money-making, because it's empty and probably too small......
